Shoulderpod Expands Mobile Tool Line with New Professional Accessories
Upper Saddle River, N.J. (October 4, 2017) – Shoulderpod, a leading manufacturer of high quality tools for photographers, filmmakers, journalists & travelers, has enhanced its family of professional equipment for mobile cameras with an assortment of new professional accessories.
Shoulderpod, made with the finest materials in Barcelona, Spain, is a modular system that enables the user to start building small with one of the basic configurations and grow from there with additional accessories. The system is adjustable to fit most mobile devices and everything is compatible with most photo & video equipment. Shoulderpod accessories provide the advantage of modularity – a key feature when traveling, as it enables you to select only the parts needed before every trip to avoid carrying a heavy backpack full of unnecessary gear.
The new accessories consist of:
Attachment plate for mounting accessories, machined from DIN-6082-T6 black anodized aluminum to protect from corrosion and finished natural wood for providing a non-scratching surface to your photo or video accessories.
- Includes four 1/4″-20 threaded holes and one open groove
- Length x Width: 210 mm x 29 mm
- Total thickness: 9.5 mm.
- Designed to work with the Shoulderpod K1 (not included)
- Allows mounting the H1 for handheld use
- Can be mounted on a tripod though one of the four threaded holes

U1 – S1 or S2 to R2 Upgrade Kit
Kit for upgrading a Shoulderpod S1 or S2 to an R2. All parts are machined in DIN 6082-T6 back anodized aluminum for preventing corrosion. The P2 plate is finished in natural wood.
When used with the Shoulderpod S2, you will be able to attach an external microphone, light, action camera or battery to your smartphone camera.
Includes four parts:
- One P2 Short Plate
- Two K1 Knobs
- One Z1 Cold Shoe
The Shoulderpod H1 is a wooden handle for holding your mobile phone comfortably and securely. The H1 has been crafted in Sapeli Wood and is finished with rubber pad protectors. It has a 1/4″-20 screw at the top end and a 1/4″-20 threaded hole at the bottom. Its ergonomic shape and finish makes it extremely comfortable to hold, even during long video shoots. It has been designed to work with the G1 and is also included with the S2, R2 and X1.

The Shoulderpod Z1 is a standard cold shoe for mounting lights and microphones to your R1. Machined from aerospace aluminum and anodized in matte black, it includes a 1/4″-20 threaded hole for mounting it on the R1 or on the H1. The Z1 Cold Shoe is a part included in the R2 Pocket Rig and the X1 Pro Rig.

The Shoulderpod K1 Knob is designed for working with the R1 Go and R1 Pro Rigs. The long neck allows holding your 1/4″-20 threaded accessories through the 8 mm thick aluminum R1 plates. Machined from aerospace aluminum and anodized in matte black and includes a soft rubber pad for protecting your gear from scratches.
In the box you will find the following part:
- One knob with 1/4″-20 stud and female thread made in aluminum with rubber pad protectors
- The K1 is already included in the R2 Pocket Rig (2 units), in the X1 Pro Rig (3 units) and in the U1 Kit (2 units)
- Made of super strong polyester and finished in brown suede leather
- Total length: 210 mm (Loop length: 150 mm, Leather length 60 mm)
- Width: 26 mm
G1RP – Rubber Pad replacements for G1 smartphone grip
- Includes one upper pad and one lower pad
- To replace your pads remove the existing rubber pad(s) and insert the new one(s)
H1RP – Rubber Pad replacements for H1 Handle and K1 Knob
- Includes three units
- To replace your pads slip and press the rounded rubber in place on your H1 or your K1
